What this site collects
The short version
This is a personal site. It has no accounts and no ads, and stores nothing about you on a server. It counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you. The contact form also involves other companies, as described below.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare handles each request and may keep short-lived technical logs (such as your IP address and the page requested) to run and protect the service. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Visitor statistics
To see which pages people read and how quickly they load, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. A small script records the page you're on, the site that linked you here, your country, your browser, operating system and type of device, and how long the page took to load. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and doesn't fingerprint or follow you across other sites. I only see totals, never individual visitors. Visits from the European Economic Area (the EU plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway), Switzerland, and the UK are excluded: Cloudflare discards the statistics its data centers in those countries collect. Cloudflare lists what the script collects, and the countries excluded, in its Web Analytics documentation.
The contact form
When you send a message through the contact form, the name, email address, and message you enter are emailed to me so I can reply. The site keeps no copy; the message exists only in email. To limit abuse, the form also records the sending IP address in that email, rate-limits submissions, and runs Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that a person rather than a script is sending; it looks at browser signals and may set a cookie of its own, and is covered by Cloudflare's privacy policy linked above.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There's no agreed standard for responding to it, and this site doesn't act on it: Cloudflare's visitor statistics work the same either way.
Your preferences
Your light-or-dark theme choice is stored in your browser only, and never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser's site data resets it.
Links to other sites
Book previews, videos, and store links open on Amazon, Payhip, YouTube, or Instagram, each with its own privacy policy. Nothing from those sites loads here until you click.
